Seminar Presentation: Creative Problem Solving
The enjoyment of learning and discovery has led to great innovation, as seen in Tom Tam's Tong Ren Therapy. Tom is also a published poet. Artists are known for their creative problem solving ability. Mine started as a little girl wanting to quietly communicate with my siblings sleeping in the next room. Dad had taught my brother and I Morse code, ah ha. Next step, taptaptapping the code on the wall. Now in my sixties, I find myself taptaptapping again, this time on a doll with a hammer using the code developed by Tom Tam for Tong Ren Therapy. Funny how life seems to go full circle!
Bio: Kathy Tangney is a professional watercolor artist and Tong Ren Therapist. She came to Tom Tam’s “guinea pig” session in 2002 because her sister Ann had found a cure for their mother’s pain in the neck! The Oriental Culture Institute and Tong Ren Therapy! Kathy was hooked immediately on the simple, easy, lazy bum way of healing using no chemicals; just a doll, hammer and recipe book. In her first group session Kathy's arthritis was healed. Tong Ren was important because as an Art teacher, Kathy had developed multiple chemical sensitivities and was searching for natural healing. Kathy has taken several of Tom Tam’s seminars, offers a weekly “guinea pig” session and volunteers as a tapper during Tom’s open sessions. She continues her passion for watercolor painting and Art thanks to Tom Tam’s affordable health care!
